"I can't get enough of your photos ... you photograph with your soul, David ... the camera is just the vehicle." - Anny Schaphoff
Marc Jerram
Master Farrier
"Dave produced some first-class photography of my work as a master farrier, captured the mood, the sights and smells you get when working with hot metal and shoeing horses.
I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a quality and professional photography service for their business."
Vic Bamford
Glass Blower
"The first time I met Dave was when he visited Stourbridge Glassblowing Studio (a glassblowing studio I am a partner in) at the Ruskin Glass Centre in Stourbridge. Dave expressed an interest in what we were making and asked if he could come along and photograph myself and Darren Weed in action, so we set up a mutually agreeable day. We gave Dave a health and safety induction and explained how we work and where the best positions would be to get the best shots. Timing is of the essence ... although there are set moves during the making there can also be spontaneous moments which can easily be missed resulting in the loss of some exciting shots. Dave came back a few times building up a friendly and relaxed rapport with myself and Darren and developed an instinctive understanding of the space he was in and how we worked together. Dave acquired a familiarity, growing confidence and a very creative approach in this challenging environment resulting in him capturing some special moments in time which he then shared with myself and Darren.
We look forward to seeing Dave back in the studio to capture more action both in stills and moving images … stills capture and freeze a moment in time which is great in itself so it will be exciting to see real time action which will convey the balletic nature of glassblowing. I am sure what Dave creates will be valuable in helping promote both my and Darren's practices."

Proud owner of Ayko & Banjo
"Dave has taken some of the most beautiful picture of my two dogs, Banjo and Ayko.
The dogs are both very different in colours and markings and all have come out as stunning vibrant pictures. None of the pictures were done as photoshoots but action shots, totally unstaged, some of them I wasn’t even aware that Dave was taking them and therefore the results are even more astonishing.
If I want more photos done, I would certainly ask Dave to do the job."
Jane Thompson
Owner and handler of Luna
"I first met David Stocks in a professional capacity when I engaged with him to take some photographs of my boisterous dogs. I did not want the pictures to be the standard point and click photos and getting the energetic dogs to do anything is a big ask. Dave responded to the brief with alacrity! The photoshoot was a day to remember, the resultant artwork is original, creative and captured both the day itself and the subjects to perfection. He made our memories and gave us material to retain and share them …. And best of all, we now have a new friend in Dave Stocks … a creative force and an absolute gentleman."
